The Doctoral (PhD) Program in Marine Science, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), has been officially included in the List of Priority Study Programs for Domestic LPDP Scholarships under the Maritime Sector. This recognition reflects the academic excellence and strategic relevance of Undip’s Marine Science program in supporting national marine and maritime development.

According to the official document released by the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP), Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, the Doctoral Program in Marine Science at Universitas Diponegoro is listed alongside other leading national universities within the maritime science cluster. This inclusion provides broader opportunities for prospective doctoral students to pursue their studies with full financial support through the LPDP scholarship scheme.

The Head of the Marine Science Study Program at FPIK Undip stated that the inclusion of the Doctoral Program in Marine Science in the LPDP priority list represents institutional trust in the quality of academic implementation, faculty expertise, and the program’s research contributions, particularly in the fields of oceanography, marine resource management, and sustainable coastal and marine ecosystems.

“This recognition is expected to increase interest among high-achieving prospective students to pursue doctoral studies at Universitas Diponegoro, while also strengthening the university’s role in producing highly competent doctoral graduates with global competitiveness,” he said.
